SEVEN ELEMENTS OF ENLIGHTENMENT

Minds that are grounded in seven elements of enlightenment (mindfulness, wisdom, energy, joy, peace, concentration, equanimity), that don't cling to anything but rejoice in the freedom of non-attachment, whose appetites are conquered, who are full of light, attain nirvana.

DEADLY SINS

In Hindu theology, arishadvarga or shadripu (Sanskrit: षड्रिपु; meaning the six enemies) are the six enemies of the mind, which are: kama (desire), krodha (anger), lobha (greed), mada (Sense of I), moha (Attachment), and matsarya (Partiality); the negative characteristics of which prevent man from attaining moksha.

There are six things the Lord hates,

seven that are detestable to him;

Greed (Greed) - haughty eyes

Lust (Desire) - a lying tongue

Wrath (Anger) - hands that shed innocent blood

Gluttony (Attachment) - a heart that devises wicked schemes

Pride (Sense of I) - feet that are quick to rush to evil

Sloth (Partiality) - a false witness who pours out lies

Envy - a person who stirs up conflict in the community
