All Spiritual traditions converge on the concept that our world is imperfect, yet they diverge in their perspectives. The inescapable reality is that we inhabit a world of change, where earthly life is characterised by suffering and death as an inevitable chapter in our journey. The central tenet is that to transcend, one must embark on a righteous path, cultivating a life of compassion, empathy, and selflessness. This is the sole pathway to attaining eternal life or an afterlife. Through unwavering integrity, treading the straight path, and renouncing worldly attachments and aversions, we can access higher states of consciousness, ultimately leading to liberation and salvation.
Many belief systems attribute the misuse of free will as the root cause of imperfection, precipitating a decline from completeness and culminating in chaos. Monotheistic traditions proclaim one perfect God as the source of creation, while polytheistic beliefs propose the existence of multiple deities; undoubtedly, evolution is an unfolding process. In this present moment, we are not in a state of perfection. However, by embracing compassion and empathy, we can overcome conflict, transcending the forces that divide and perpetuate chaos.
Although suffering is an inherent aspect of our world, just as freedom from fear and grief encompasses the experiences of fear and grief, yet we are not bound to be controlled by them; rather, we endure them, we can cultivate detachment and resilience, ultimately liberating ourselves from suffering and the cycles of existence and rebirth. Through the transformative power of enlightenment, unselfishness, and Spiritual living, we can attain oneness of being, emanating from the heart, where the essence of a perfect God would reside.
